Step-by-Step Guide to Copy Google Form to Another Account
Step 1: Open Your Google Form
Log into the Google account that contains the form you want to copy. Go to Google Forms or open Google Drive and navigate to the form. Click the form to open it in edit mode.
Step 2: Make a Copy of the Form
With the form open, click the three vertical dots (More options) in the upper-right corner. Select "Make a copy" from the dropdown. Google Forms creates a duplicate of the form in the same account. The copy includes all questions, sections, branching logic, theme, and quiz settings - but not existing responses.
Step 3: Rename the Copy
A dialog appears asking you to name the copy. Give it a clear, distinct name so it is easy to find later. Click "OK." The copy now appears in your Google Drive.
Step 4: Share the Copied Form with the Destination Account
Open the copied form, then click the "Send" button in the top-right corner. In the Send dialog, click the person icon (Add collaborators), then enter the email address of the Google account you want to send the form to.
Step 5: Set the Sharing Role to Editor
In the sharing settings, choose "Editor" from the role dropdown next to the email address you entered. This lets the other account open, edit, and manage the form. Click "Send." The destination account will receive an email notification with a link to the form.
Step 6: Transfer Ownership (Optional)
If you want the other account to become the full owner of the form, complete Step 5 first, then re-open the sharing settings. Find the account you just added, click the role dropdown next to their name, and select "Transfer ownership." Confirm when prompted. The other account must accept the transfer. Once accepted, you drop to Editor access and they become the owner.
Note: ownership transfers are only possible between accounts in the same Google Workspace domain, or from a personal Gmail to any Gmail. Cross-domain transfers (personal Gmail to a school or work Workspace) are often blocked by the organization's admin policy.
Step 7: Verify Access on the Destination Account
Log into the second Google account. The shared or transferred form appears under "Shared with me" in Google Drive. If you transferred ownership, it also appears in the new owner's "My Drive."
What Copies Over and What Does Not
When you use "Make a copy" in Google Forms, here is exactly what transfers:

- Correct-answer keys and answer feedback
What does not copy:
- Existing form responses (response data stays with the original)

If someone else owns the form, you need Editor access before you can make a copy. Ask the owner to share the form with you at Editor level (Steps 4 and 5 above), then follow the same "Make a copy" steps. Viewer or Commenter access is not enough - you will not see the "Make a copy" option unless you are an Editor.
Copying Multiple Forms at Once
