Why 4:1? If you upload a taller image, you will have to crop most of it away. If you upload a wider one, the edges may be cut. Designing at 4:1 means what you see in your design tool is what appears on the form.

Step 1: Create a custom-size design
In Canva, choose Create a design, then Custom size, and enter 1600 by 400 pixels.
Step 2: Set up a safe zone
Before adding text, place a rectangle about 1200 px wide in the center as a guide, then keep your title and logo inside it. Delete the guide before exporting.
Step 3: Add a background and title
Use a photo, a simple pattern, or a solid color. Add a short title such as Unit 4 Quiz: Ecosystems or Field Trip Permission Form. Make the text big: at least a third of the image height is a good starting point.
Step 4: Check contrast
