# Field surveys that keep working when the signal drops

Build the questionnaire once, give each enumerator their own link and export clean data to SPSS or Excel. Answers save on the phone when there is no connection and send later.

## How it works

Three steps from questionnaire to dataset. Kiki keeps track of who collected what.

1. Kiki

    ### Build the survey

Write the questions, set the language of the survey and add quotas so a group stops taking answers once it is full. Right to left scripts and local languages are supported.

2. Kiki

    ### Share a link per enumerator

Every enumerator gets a personal link. Their answers are counted per person, and you can pause a link at any time. Phones that lose signal keep the answers and send them when they are back online, as long as the survey page was opened online first.

3. Kiki

    ### Export to SPSS or Excel

Download an Excel workbook with a codebook sheet, or an SPSS syntax file plus the data that builds your labelled dataset in one run.

## Survey plans by response volume

Billed monthly. Pick the volume you expect, move up when a study grows.

Every plan includes

- Offline answers that send later
- A link per enumerator
- Quotas per survey, enumerator or answer
- SPSS syntax file plus data
- Excel export with a codebook
- Right to left and local languages

## Field research questions

Does it work offline?

Yes, once the survey page is open. Open the link while online at the start of the day and keep the tab open. Interviews done without a connection are saved on the phone and sent on their own when the signal comes back. Saved answers stay on the phone if the browser closes and send the next time the link is opened online.

Which languages can a survey use?

One survey can carry several languages, from English, French and Spanish to Arabic, Hindi, Bengali, Burmese, Swahili, Hausa and Amharic, and respondents pick theirs. Right to left scripts such as Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu display the right way round. Answers are stored in one coding whatever the language.

What does the SPSS export contain?

A zip with an SPSS syntax file, the data as CSV and a codebook. Run the syntax in SPSS or PSPP and it builds the dataset with variable and value labels. It is not a .sav file.

And the Excel export?

An Excel workbook with the answers as labels, the same answers as codes and a codebook sheet that lists every variable, its question and its answer codes.

How do quotas work?

Set a target for the whole survey, for one enumerator or for an answer to a single choice question such as a region. A hard quota stops new answers and shows your message, a soft one only tracks progress. Interviews collected offline before a quota filled are always kept.
